Stainless steel trailer brake rotors and calipers
offer superior corrosion resistance to boat trailers
that often see launches in salt water. Also, things
like road salt - especially in winter, can quickly
affect your trailer brakes if they are not specially
treated or serviced regularily.
Electric brake controller system. Typically used
on larger boat trailers with 2 or more axles and
where the boat and trailer weigh more than 2,500
kg. Electric brakes give you more control and the
ability to manually use the trailer brakes independent
of the tow vehicle's brakes.

Surge brake system. This type of system is effective
on single axle trailers or light duty trailers.
If installing a new brake system, consider if
you will be backing your trailer up any type of
hills. Surge brakes can activate and make backing
up a hill very difficult.
